MCA Records has announced that country music icon Vince Gill has signed a lifetime record deal with the label, solidifying their long-standing partnership. As part of this exciting agreement, Vince will release a new EP every month for the next year. The series is called *50 Years From Home* and will feature a mix of new songs and selected tracks from his catalog that fit each EP’s theme.
The first EP, *50 Years From Home: I Gave You Everything I Had*, will be available on October 17. It includes the recently double platinum-certified hit, “Go Rest High on That Mountain.”
“Vince has been a key part of the MCA family for decades,” said Mike Harris, President & CEO of MCA. “This lifetime deal shows our commitment to his artistic vision and legacy.”
Vince shared his excitement, saying, “I’ve never felt more creative in my career. I have a treasure trove of songs, and with my friends at MCA, we’ve found a way to share this new music. I’m grateful for our 36-year partnership.”
Vince’s manager, Larry Fitzgerald, added, “MCA Records has been Vince’s home since the start of his career. Now, fans can always find his music with us. I’ve been with Vince for 41 years, and I’m thrilled to be part of this moment.”
Just two months ago, “Go Rest High on That Mountain” celebrated its 30th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Vince released an extended version of the song with a new verse. “For the last thirty years, I felt something was missing. With this new verse, I finally feel the song is complete.”
