Tom Morello to Release First Solo Rock Album Featuring His 13-Year-Old Son in 2026

Guitarist Tom Morello is set to release his first pure rock album in 2026, featuring his young son, Roman, on guitar. Morello, known for his work with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, is excited about this new project. He said, “I really wanted to make a record that is relentless in its big guitar riffs and inventive guitar solos.”

This album marks a big change for Morello. While his recent Atlas Underground series mixed electronic sounds with guest artists, he is now returning to his rock roots. This time, he will also take on vocal duties. The music will combine the powerful riffs from his days with Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, along with some acoustic folk influences from his Nightwatchman era. His new single, “Pretend You Remember Me,” gives a taste of what to expect from the album.

Roman Morello brings a fresh energy to the project. Tom praised his son, saying, “[He] is a tremendous guitar player who we’ve played with across the world.” He described Roman as part of “a new generation who has this Morello DNA of rock ‘n’ roll power.”

Mom+Pop Music will release the album in 2026. Starting this November, Morello will hit the road for a tour across America. He has scheduled performances at Lollapalooza Chile on March 13 and Colombia’s Estéreo Picnic festival on March 21, 2025. Fans can buy tickets and check the full tour schedule online. Get ready for some exciting rock music from this father-son duo!
