Keri Hilson’s debut album, *In A Perfect World…*, is set to be released on vinyl for the first time. Originally launched in 2009, the vinyl is now available for pre-order and will drop on November 7.
Before her singing career, Hilson wrote songs for big names like Usher, Mary J. Blige, Britney Spears, and The Pussycat Dolls. *In A Perfect World…* highlights her talent for crafting hits. The album features production from Polow da Don and Timbaland and includes popular singles like “Energy,” “Turnin Me On” featuring Lil Wayne, “Slow Dance” co-written with Justin Timberlake, “Knock You Down” featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo, and “Return the Favor.”
“Turnin Me On” reached No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Knock You Down” peaked at No. 3 and topped the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart and No. 4 on the Top Album Chart.
Reflecting on the album’s release, Hilson shared, “It was a culmination of a dream I had been pursuing for 12 years. It was an emotional time. I was finally seeing my childhood dream come alive.”
In April, Hilson returned to music with her third album, *We Need to Talk: Love*, her first project in 15 years. She felt a strong pull to come back, saying, “Energy in the universe made it so very clear that it’s time.”
