Alter Bridge has released a new single titled “What Lies Within” on October 8, along with an animated video directed by J.T. Ibanez. This track is part of their upcoming eighth album, set to drop on January 9, 2026, through Napalm Records. The songs for this album were recorded in the spring at California’s 5150 studio and at producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette’s studio in Florida.
The album features both lead singers, Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti, sharing vocal duties. In the song “Trust In Me,” Kennedy sings the verses while Tremonti takes over the chorus. They switch roles in another track, “Tested And Able.” The closing song, “Slave To Master,” is their longest track to date.
Their first single, “Silent Divide,” has already racked up two million views since its release in September and is gaining traction on the radio. Since forming in Florida in 2004, Alter Bridge has achieved six consecutive Top 20 spots on the Billboard album charts. Their song “Blackbird” is a fan favorite, and their 2013 album, Fortress, received high praise from critics.
The band will kick off their “What Lies Within” tour on January 15, 2026, in Hamburg. This 31-date European tour will feature Daughtry and Sevendust as opening acts. After that, they will head to the U.S., starting on April 25 in Orlando. Filter will join them on some dates, while Sevendust and Tim Montana will share the stage on others. The tour will wrap up on May 24 in Tampa.
Additionally, Alter Bridge will host their first Blackbird Festival at Cardiff Castle on June 27, 2026, featuring acts like Skindred, Florence Black, and Cardinal Black, with one more band yet to be announced. Fans can find ticket information and more details soon.
