Music fans can look forward to over 170 special vinyl pressings at local shops on November 28. The Record Store Day Black Friday event features rare releases from artists like Bob Dylan, Billie Eilish, Talking Heads, and Prince.
One of the highlights is The Original Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan, which adds four new tracks to the classic 1963 album: “Rocks and Gravel,” “Let Me Die in My Footsteps,” “Rambling, Gambling Willie,” and “Talkin’ John Birch Paranoid Blues.” Dylan fans will also enjoy a seven-inch single of “Masters of War,” recorded in poet Alan Lomax’s apartment in 1963, featuring a candid conversation between the two.
The Wicked: For Good soundtrack comes as a double picture disc set, complete with new artwork and a poster. The design reflects the colors of Wicked Witch Elphaba and Good Witch Glenda. Billie Eilish’s live EP from the London Palladium will be available on 10-inch vinyl, featuring live versions of “Skinny,” “Wildflower,” “Birds of a Feather,” and “L’Amour de ma Vie.”
Talking Heads’ Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live includes recordings from a rare 1974 tape when the band was known as the Artistics, before Jerry Harrison joined. Prince’s Around the World in a Day: The Singles features seven-inch versions of four hits, plus “4 the Tears in Your Eyes” from We Are the World.
Fleetwood Mac’s Live 1975 showcases new members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, with songs like “Hypnotized” and “Oh Well.” This year’s Record Store Day Ambassador, Post Malone, will release Long Bed, featuring nine new tracks on bright orange vinyl.
The sale kicks off at 8 AM on November 28. Releases will include shop-only items, RSD first releases, and limited regional pressings of under 1,000 copies. Vinyl lovers can check out all the Black Friday releases at their local stores.
