The Pretty Reckless is set to release a new holiday EP titled “Taylor Momsen’s Pretty Reckless Christmas” on October 31. Fans can find digital copies in stores, while physical versions will be available starting November 14 through Fearless Records.
The EP features a hard-rock version of “Where Are You Christmas,” a song from the 2000 movie “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.” In addition to this classic, the EP includes four new holiday tracks that showcase the band’s signature raw and edgy sound.
Taylor Momsen shared her thoughts on revisiting “Where Are You Christmas” after 25 years. “It feels like coming home to a part of myself I hadn’t seen in a long time,” she said. “I was just a child when I first sang it, and I never could’ve imagined how much the song and the film would resonate with people and shape my career.”
Momsen has transformed the gentle ballad into a powerful rock anthem while keeping its original message. “Recording it now, with all the life I’ve lived in between, I hear it through a different lens… but the heart of it is the same. It’s about wonder, hope, and holding on to the magic — something we all need more than ever,” she added.
Earlier this year, the band released “For I Am Death,” their first new track in three years. They also contributed to an upcoming Bad Company tribute album, which drops on October 24.
The Pretty Reckless, consisting of Taylor Momsen, Ben Phillips, Mark Damon, and Jamie Perkins, has been making music together since 2009. Their 2021 album, “Death By Rock And Roll,” topped several Billboard charts.
Winter shows kick off on December 12 at Everett’s Angel of the Winds Arena, with summer festival appearances planned in Europe, including Rock For People in the Czech Republic and Copenhell Festival in Denmark in June 2026. Fans can pre-order the EP and grab tickets for upcoming shows.
