Guns N’ Roses Announces New Album in Development, Release Date Still Unconfirmed

Guns N’ Roses have shared that they are working on new music, but they haven’t revealed when it will be released. Guitarist Slash mentioned, “There’s so much material at this point — it’s a matter of having the discipline to sit down and … get into it.” He added that making music with the band is always spontaneous, saying, “You can never plan ahead.”

Their last studio album, *Chinese Democracy*, came out in 2008. Slash and bassist Duff McKagan didn’t participate in that project, and their last collaboration before reuniting was the 1993 cover album, *The Spaghetti Incident?*. The duo got back together in 2016, reigniting their creative spark.

Since reuniting, they’ve released four new songs. “Absurd” and “Hard Skool” came out in 2021, while “Perhaps” and “The General” were released in 2023. These tracks have given new life to their music.

McKagan hinted that more music is on the way next year. He said, “There’s new material. I don’t know how we’re gonna put it out. Do you put out a record? Do you just keep putting out singles? I don’t know what the right answer is.”

The band also saw a lineup change recently. Frank Ferrer left after two decades as the drummer, and AWOLNATION’s Isaac Carpenter has stepped in. The current lineup includes Axl Rose, Slash, McKagan, Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, and Melissa Reese.

Guns N’ Roses kicked off their massive 2025 world tour in Saudi Arabia on May 23, headlining Wembley Stadium for the first time since 1992. They are now touring South America until mid-November and will also perform in Barcelona, Munich, Warsaw, and Vienna. Fans can check their website for upcoming shows and ticket information.
