The Original Soundtrack of ‘Sing’ Is Set to Release on Vinyl

The soundtrack to the animated musical Sing is getting a new vinyl release! It will be available on November 14th in a cool ‘psychedelic blue’ marble variant. The soundtrack features 16 tracks, mostly covers of popular songs, from the film that has over 60 songs.

The album kicks off with the original song “Faith,” performed by Ariana Grande and Stevie Wonder, which was nominated for a Golden Globe. You’ll also hear Jennifer Hudson’s take on “Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight” and Tori Kelly’s versions of “Hallelujah” and “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing.” Plus, it includes the classic “Under Pressure” by Queen and David Bowie.

The soundtrack showcases performances from the film’s stars, including Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, Beck Bennett, and Nick Kroll. Their covers include hits like “Shake It Off,” “My Way,” and “Venus.” Taron Egerton, who voices Johnny the gorilla, sings “I’m Still Standing,” a song he later recorded for the movie Rocketman.

A music video for “Faith” was released on December 21, 2016, featuring fun animation where the film’s characters come to life. Sing tells the story of Buster Moon, a koala who organizes a singing competition to save his theater. The soundtrack originally dropped on December 9, 2016, and reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 200.

The success of Sing led to a sequel, Sing 2, which came out in 2021 and included an original song by U2. Universal Pictures has confirmed that a third film is on the way. Don’t miss out—order the Sing soundtrack on color vinyl now!
