A new lime-flavored Mexican lager is launching just in time for the Dia de los Deftones festival. Fans can pre-order the beer now. This refreshing brew, with a 5% ABV, will make its debut at San Diego’s Petco Park on November 1.
The band announced, “Our Dia de los Deftones lime-infused Mexican lager is back for DDLD VI and will be available at the festival on November 1. Pre-orders are live now at store.belchingbeaver.com, and distribution will roll out to all Belching Beaver taprooms and retailers in California and Arizona next week.”
The six-pack features 16-ounce cans with fresh artwork and is priced at $13.99. Direct shipping is currently limited to California, but the beer will soon be available in stores across Arizona and California.
This release continues the successful partnership between the Deftones and Belching Beaver Brewery. Previous collaborations have included various styles, with IPAs being popular in earlier releases.
While the number of U.S. craft breweries dipped slightly from mid-2024 to mid-2025, the Brewers Association notes a growing interest in premium and flavored beers.
The Dia de los Deftones festival will feature a lineup of exciting acts, including Clipse, Rico Nasty, Deafheaven, Regulo Caro, Ecca Vandal, 2hollis, Glare, and University, with Deftones closing the night.
The beer industry continues to thrive, with small brewers seeing a recent 3% drop, while taproom numbers fell just 1%. The Deftones join other rock legends like Iron Maiden, New Order, Megadeth, and Motorhead, who have also launched their own signature drinks.
