Fill-in Trivium Drummer Greyson Nekrutman Exits Fall Tour

Trivium has made a big change in their lineup. Earlier this month, the band announced that longtime drummer Alex Bent is leaving after nine years. They played the Aftershock festival with Sepultura’s Greyson Nekrutman filling in on drums. It was announced that he would join them for their upcoming fall tour, starting on October 31 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

However, Trivium shared on Friday that scheduling conflicts mean Greyson won’t be able to continue with them for the tour. The band expressed their respect for him, saying, “Greyson is a humble, confident, and passionate musician, and we’ll always be fans.”

Now, the drummer for the tour will be Alex Rüdinger, who previously played with Whitechapel. Trivium mentioned, “Fun fact: we asked Alex to join Trivium nine years ago, but the timing didn’t align.”

In addition to drumming on the tour, Rüdinger will also be involved in writing sessions for Trivium’s next album. The band is excited to finally share the stage with him and see what the future holds.

Mark your calendars! On October 31, Trivium will also release a new EP titled *Struck Dead*.
