The Rolling Stones’ ‘At The Max’ IMAX Concert Film Returns to Theaters After Two Decades

The Rolling Stones’ concert film, *At The Max*, is returning to IMAX screens on December 10, marking its first showing in 20 years. Thanks to IMAX’s Digital Media Remastering process, the video quality has been significantly improved, and the sound has been completely revamped.

Directed by Noel Archambault and David Douglas, the film captures the band’s electrifying energy during their Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle tour. At the time, the Stones were the first band to record an entire concert using IMAX technology, making this film a unique piece of music history.

Fans can look forward to a setlist filled with classic hits, including “Satisfaction,” “Start Me Up,” and “Brown Sugar.” The band released their latest album, *Hackney Diamonds*, two years ago, which was their first since 2005’s *A Bigger Bang*. The album was produced by Andrew Watt, known for his work with artists like Post Malone and Elton John.

This IMAX concert film holds special significance now, as it features the late Charlie Watts on drums. Charlie, who passed away in 2021, played a vital role in the band’s performances during those iconic shows in the early ’90s. His talent shines through in every frame of the film.

Mark your calendars for December 10! Details about theaters and ticket sales will be announced soon. Stay tuned for more updates on the band and their exciting projects.
