Oasis Unveils Box Set to Celebrate 30th Anniversary of “Wonderwall” Release

Oasis is set to release a limited 7-inch singles box set on December 12, celebrating 30 years since “Wonderwall” first hit the airwaves. This collection is inspired by a 1996 CD set and includes four 7-inch singles. Each single features remastered versions from 2014 of “Wonderwall,” “Some Might Say,” “Roll With It,” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” along with their original B-sides: “Round Are Way,” “Talk Tonight,” “It’s Better People,” and “Step Out.”

“Wonderwall,” released on October 30, 1995, is one of the band’s most iconic tracks. It was featured on their second studio album, (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, which has sold over 22 million copies worldwide. Alan McGee, founder of Creation Records, shared in 2020 that he knew the song would help the band sell a lot of records due to their growing momentum.

Noel Gallagher wrote “Wonderwall” and debuted it on UK television. To mark the 30th anniversary of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?, a special edition was released with new acoustic versions of several tracks.

Additionally, a 25th anniversary edition of Familiar to Millions will be available on November 14 through Big Brother Recordings. This live album, recorded at Wembley Stadium in July 2000, will be released on vinyl for the first time since its original launch. Fans can choose from three limited vinyl editions: silver, red and black, or blue, each with unique sleeve artwork.

Liam and Noel Gallagher are currently wrapping up their Live ’25 reunion tour in Australia and South America. After two shows in Sydney, they will perform in Buenos Aires on November 15 and 16, Santiago on November 19, and São Paulo on November 22 and 23. Fans can pre-order the (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? 7-inch singles box set now.
