London, November 10, 2025 – Rebel Wilson has announced the seven actors who will make up the girl band Xplode in her new film, Girl Group. After auditioning thousands across the US, the chosen cast includes Ana Yi Puig (Gainesville, FL), Bailey Stender (Duluth, MN), Chabely Ponce (Miami, FL), Daniela Cuoso (Miami, FL), Lilah Pate (Wilmington, NC), Mia Kaplan (San Diego, CA), and Miracle Washington (North Augusta, SC).
Girl Group is a fresh comedy that just finished production. Wilson is not only directing and producing the film but also starring in it. She plays a pop diva who gets kicked out of her own girl group and decides to coach a group of misfit teen girls for a big record label audition.
“I had a blast finding such amazing talent in the US. They’re all quadruple threats in this movie—they sing, dance, act, and bring the laughs. I’m so proud of them and can’t wait for everyone to see their incredible work!” said Wilson.
The film also features a star-studded cast, including Jennifer Coolidge, Nicole Scherzinger, Randall Park, Sheridan Smith, Jamie Lee O’Donnell, comedian Guz Khan, and Jolene. Additionally, Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, and All Saints’ Shaznay Lewis will join Wilson’s character to form the girl band Girlfriends. Loren Gray will also star.
Wilson is producing the film under her Camp Sugar banner, alongside Matt Williams from Future Artists Entertainment, with executive production by Live Nation Studios. Chris Scott, known for Wicked, is the choreographer.
