Manowar is set to kick off their Kings Of Metal Fighting The World Tour 2027 with 21 concerts across Germany. This tour follows their Blood Of Our Enemies Tour, which celebrated their albums Hail To England and Sign Of The Hammer. Fans can expect rotating setlists at each show. One night, the band will play the entire Kings Of Metal album, and the next, they’ll perform Fighting The World in full, along with additional songs.
Formed in 1980 in upstate New York, Manowar features original members Joey DeMaio on bass and Eric Adams on vocals. Their album Fighting The World was released in 1987, followed by Kings Of Metal in 1988. Both albums include fan favorites like “Fighting the World,” “Defender,” “Hail and Kill,” and “Warriors of the World United.”
DeMaio recently reflected on the band’s journey as they approach their 40th anniversary in 2024. He shared that they recorded everything multiple times because they weren’t satisfied with the sound. “We wanted the crushing, earth-shaking power we demand from ourselves,” he wrote. Instead of rushing, they took their time to get it right.
Manowar performed at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, on November 30, 2024, marking their first U.S. show in a decade.
