Post-punk band DEVO has announced their 2026 tour, titled “Mutate, Don’t Stagnate.” The tour kicks off with their return to Coachella on April 10 and 17, marking their first performance at the festival since 2010. DEVO is known for their unique sound and visuals, and they promise an immersive live experience for fans.
The tour starts on April 3 at Hard Rock Live Sacramento in Wheatland, California, with stops in Reno, Salt Lake City, and Phoenix. The band expressed their excitement, saying, “We can’t wait to hit the road in 2026 and perform for our fans across the West Coast. It’s incredible to see our music resonate with fans of all ages.”
Tickets go on sale to the public on December 1 at 10:00 AM local time. Pre-sales for promoters, venues, and locals start today at 10:00 AM. More tour dates will be announced soon.
DEVO also recently added new UK dates for their co-headlining “Cosmic De-Evolution Tour” with The B-52s, following a successful run in the U.S. and Canada. The UK shows will take place at The O2 in London on June 20 and at Manchester’s AO Arena on June 21.
This tour announcement comes after DEVO’s feature documentary was nominated for a Grammy for Best Music Film. The film is now streaming on Netflix, giving fans a closer look at the band, which formed in 1973 in Akron, Ohio. DEVO’s message of “Devolution” and their mix of electronics and punk have made them influential since the ’80s.
In 2023, DEVO celebrated their 50th anniversary with original members Mark and Bob Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale. Jeff Friedl is now on drums, and Josh Hager has taken over for the late Bob Casale on rhythm guitar and synths.
