Queen to Conclude Large-Scale Tours; Band Shifts Focus to Intimate Performances

Anita Dobson, Brian May’s wife, recently shared that the band won’t be touring on a large scale anymore. Instead, they will focus on smaller shows. “They will do little bits and bobs, but they won’t do those big tours,” she said. “We are all getting old.”

Drummer Roger Taylor also weighed in on the topic earlier this year. He dismissed rumors of a farewell tour, stating, “I don’t think we’re done. And I don’t think we’re going to say a final farewell tour. Because it never is, is it?”

This legendary rock group is one of the best-selling acts in music history. They gained worldwide fame with hits like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” and “Another One Bites the Dust.” They were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

In September 2024, May experienced a minor stroke. He later reassured fans, saying, “Good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days. It was a little scary because I didn’t have any control over this arm.”

Dobson mentioned in January that May is “stable now” and has adjusted well to their new life in the countryside. “Brian has never been happier since we moved,” she added.

Fans can look forward to more intimate performances from the band, even if the big tours are behind them. Stay tuned for updates on their upcoming shows and music!
