Dave Mustaine hints at potential live Megadeth album from farewell tour

Megadeth will release their final album on January 23 and will officially disband after a farewell tour that spans several years. Frontman Dave Mustaine hints that there could still be more Megadeth music in the future, but it won’t be a studio album.

In an interview, Mustaine said, “It all depends on how the statements are crafted. We’re doing no more studio albums. Does that mean there might be a live album at the end of all of this? Yeah, it certainly looks that way.”

However, he is clear that once the last show is over, Megadeth will be done for good. Mustaine expressed skepticism about a reunion after the farewell tour, saying, “I don’t think so. You see the scuttlebutt that is associated with bands like that. They never follow through with it and stick to their word.”

The farewell tour will kick off in August and includes North American dates with Iron Maiden. Fans can look forward to the final album and the chance to see the band live one last time.
