Brandon Flowers Announces New Killers Album Set for 2027, Hints at Upcoming Solo Projects and Sphere Residency

Brandon Flowers has confirmed that The Killers will release their eighth studio album in 2027. This news comes after the lead singer finishes two solo albums and a tour in 2026. Fans have been eagerly waiting for new music since the band’s last album, Pressure Machine, which hit No. 9 on the UK album charts in 2021.

Flowers shared, “My best guess is that in 2027 you will get the best Killers record.” He mentioned that he has two solo records ready, with one almost mixed and the other coming soon. He enjoyed the creative process in Nashville and hinted that the new music will be a bit different. “Gotta keep you all on your toes,” he added.

In addition to the album news, Flowers plans to perform at The Sphere in Las Vegas, a venue previously graced by U2. He will also announce a solo tour later in 2026.

The delay in new material from The Killers is due to their busy schedule. In 2022, they toured with Imploding The Mirage for over 90 shows, followed by 65 more gigs in 2023. Flowers noted, “There was a pent-up demand for that communal experience after Covid.” In 2024, the band will celebrate 20 years of their debut album, Hot Fuss, with a residency at Caesar’s and mark two decades together with a special event called Rebel Diamonds.

Despite their packed schedule, Flowers mentioned that the band has been writing during breaks. He expects the two solo albums to be released in 2026. Fans have been waiting for new music for over four years, and it looks like the wait will soon be over!
