In 1979, Vince Gill left Norman, Oklahoma, to chase his music dreams full time. He moved to Nashville and built a successful career filled with awards and accolades. In 2026, he will celebrate 50 years in music with his “50 Years From Home Tour.” To mark this milestone, Gill signed a lifetime contract with MCA Records and is releasing a new EP every month for a year, called 50 Years from Home. So far, he has released three EPs, each with six new songs and one classic hit:
– I Gave You Everything I Had (Oct. 17, 2025)
– Secondhand Smoke (Nov. 14, 2025)
– Brown’s Diner Bar (Jan. 9, 2026)
The tour will kick off on June 18 at the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, Florida, and includes a six-night residency at the Historic Ryman Auditorium. Other stops in Florida include Clearwater (June 20), Fort Lauderdale (June 22), Fort Myers (June 25), Sarasota (June 26), and St. Augustine (June 27). After Florida, the tour will head up the East Coast.
Tickets for most shows go on sale on January 16. Tickets for Battle Creek, Michigan, will be available on January 17; Nashville, Tennessee, on January 23; and Hershey, Pennsylvania, Schenectady, New York, and Charleston, West Virginia, on January 30.
Vince Gill is a 22-time Grammy winner and has spent much of the last nine years touring with the Eagles. He will continue to perform with them at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Over the years, he has also played with other famous bands like The Notorious Cherry Bombs and The Time Jumpers.
On November 19, he received the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award. He became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 1991 and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. In 2012, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
