Jack Osbourne Clarifies Reports on Black Sabbath Charity Concert, Confirms Event Generated $9.4 Million

Jack Osbourne has cleared up some confusion about how much money Black Sabbath’s last concert raised for charity. The show on July 5, 2025, brought in about $10 million for three charities, not the $150 million to $190 million that some media outlets reported.

In a January interview with Tyler Ramsey, Osbourne explained that many news sources mixed up the total revenue with the actual amount donated. “CNN and the New York Times were saying, ‘Ozzy raised $150 million.’ And it wasn’t that,” he said.

The Back to the Beginning concert was organized to support charity, but there were still costs to cover. “No bands got paid, and most of the crew donated their time,” Osbourne noted. “But you still have to pay for the actual gig.”

After covering all expenses, each of the three charities received between £1.5 million and £2 million, totaling around £6 to £7 million, which is about $9.4 million. The funds were shared among Birmingham Children’s Hospital, Acorn Children’s Hospice, and Cure Parkinson’s.

This concert took place in England and marked the final performance for Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath. Many fans hailed it as one of the best one-day lineups of rock and metal bands ever.

Sadly, Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 76. He had been battling Parkinson’s disease and other health issues for years.
