Sepultura, a band that Dave Grohl has called one of his favorites, revealed in 2023 that they would be ending their journey after a multi-year farewell tour. The band was formed in 1984 by brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, but neither is currently with the group. Max left in 1997, and Igor followed in 2006.
Today, Sepultura includes guitarist Andreas Kisser and bassist Paulo Jr., both of whom have been with the band since the ’80s. Vocalist Derrick Green took over for Max in 1997. Drummer Greyson Nekrutman joined in 2024 after Eloy Casagrande left to join Slipknot.
Meanwhile, the Cavalera brothers have reunited and are currently performing together in their own band, Cavalera. Don’t miss your chance to see Sepultura on their farewell tour!
