Saturday was declared Megadeth Day in La Vergne, Tennessee. Mayor Jason Cole made the proclamation to honor the band’s incredible contributions to music and their lasting impact on fans and artists around the world.
The celebration coincided with Megadeth’s Let There Be Shred event, which featured an intimate performance and a listening party for their upcoming self-titled farewell album. La Vergne is just outside Nashville, where frontman Dave Mustaine has lived for many years.
The new album is set to release this Friday. In addition to the album, Megadeth is gearing up for a multiyear farewell tour. The tour will kick off in North America with Iron Maiden in August, promising an exciting experience for fans.
