Halestorm is set to kick off the 2026 Summer Concert Series at Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course on May 16. The York County rock band will take the stage at the Penn Heroes Stage in Grantville.
Tony Frabbiele, Vice President at Hollywood Casino, expressed excitement about the event. “We’re incredibly proud to start our 2026 Summer Concert Series with a band that grew up right here and has dominated the global rock scene,” he said.
Halestorm is led by siblings Lzzy Hale and Arejay Hale, both from Red Lion in York County. Lzzy is the lead vocalist, while Arejay plays the drums. Joe Hottinger handles lead guitar, and Josh Smith plays bass.
In 2012, Lzzy made history by becoming the first woman to win a GRAMMY in the Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance category. This win was a significant moment for women in rock music. Their latest album, “Everest,” debuted in the top 20 on 12 different rock and album charts, hitting number one on the UK Rock & Metal Album chart and charting in several countries, including Japan, Sweden, and France.
Halestorm has a history of performing in the area, including a show at the Giant Center in August 2025 and a performance at the York State Fair in 2024. Lzzy also had the honor of performing at Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert in July 2025, where she was the only woman on stage.
The Hollywood Outdoor Concert Series offers an outdoor party atmosphere with food, drinks, games, and performances from well-known artists. Tickets for the Halestorm concert go on sale January 30 at 10 a.m. More Summer Concert Series shows will be announced soon.
