Seattle Seahawks player Nick Emmanwori is getting ready to face off against the New England Patriots in a highly-anticipated rematch this Sunday for the 2026 Super Bowl…but his mom doesn’t get the hype.
Hilariously, Justina Emmanwori is on camera revealing that she doesn’t really understand what the big deal is about the Super Bowl. The clip of her talking to ABC Columbia sports anchor Noah Chast has gone viral on social media.

When asked about what she expects from the game, Justina, who is Nigerian, said, “To be honest with you, I don’t know. Everyone keeps asking me, ‘Do you know what you’re going for?’ I said: Super Bowl?”

“I have the opportunity to go there, so maybe it’s something big,” she continued. “I don’t know, it’s big. I don’t know what I’m expecting. All I’m going [for is] to shout ‘Yay, Super Bowl, touchdown, we win’ that’s it. That’s all I’m going to do.”
She and the rest of Nick‘s family are traveling to Santa Clara to support him during the game. At least she’s all decked out in Seahawks attire!
