Billy Corgan, the frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins, is celebrating the one-year anniversary of his podcast, The Magnificent Others. Since its launch in February 2025, he has welcomed a variety of guests, including Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from KISS, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Yungblud, and Sharon Osbourne.
Corgan expressed his gratitude for the support during the first season and shared his plans for the future. “I want to expand the reach and scope of our guests to something more universal and, dare I say, spiritual,” he said. He believes in the power of the human spirit, regardless of one’s beliefs about a higher power.
When the podcast started, Corgan mentioned his desire to interview a wider range of guests. “Music and the arts are the easiest for me, but I’d love to talk to authors, historians, and scientists too,” he said. While he mainly interviews musicians now, he feels there are still plenty of potential guests on his list. “Just among musicians, I have hundreds of names,” he added. “There are so many people I would love to talk to.”
