Shinedown has announced the release of their new album, titled EI8HT, set to drop on May 29 through Atlantic Records. Along with the album announcement, the band has shared a new song called “Safe and Sound.”
To support the new music, Shinedown will hit the road on the Dance Kid Dance Act II World Tour, which will cover 11 countries and include 54 shows. Bass player Eric Bass produced the album, and lead vocalist Brent Smith praised his work. “This album is over a year in the making,” Smith said. “As a band, we pushed ourselves like never before, especially Eric. We’re honored to work with such an amazing producer and musician.”
Smith expressed excitement about finally announcing their eighth studio album and the upcoming tour.
