Bad Omens Love Songs That Combine Metalcore Intensity with Genuine Emotion

In the music business, long-term success often comes from being multidimensional. While some bands, like AC/DC, have thrived on a single sound, most artists who last know how to keep their audience engaged. Bad Omens, a metalcore band from Richmond, Virginia, is a great example of this. They add depth to the genre with a mix of aggressive and emotional tracks, often blending hard and soft elements within the same song. This emotional contrast creates a captivating experience that listeners want to revisit.

Bad Omens was formed when lead singer Noah Sebastian, who started playing in bands at 12 and began writing music at 16, decided to create his own project after leaving his previous band, Immoralist, in 2014. He teamed up with his friend Nicholas Ruffilo, and they later brought in bassist Vincent Riquier and lead guitarist Joakim “Jolly” Karlsson. They completed their lineup with drummer Nick Folio, who impressed them with his audition tape. The band took their name from an early song, which was later renamed “Glass Houses.” After releasing a demo EP, they caught the attention of Sumerian Records, leading to a record deal and a polished debut album.

From the start, Bad Omens aimed to create music that shifts between hardcore energy and softer moments. Vocalist Noah Sebastian is key to this, showcasing a range that includes both intense screams and smooth vocals. His production background helps shape their sound into cinematic experiences, balancing quiet atmospheres with raw power. The other members contribute to this unique blend, with Jolly using effects for softer parts and Nick and Nicholas driving the rhythm in a way that keeps fans hooked. Bad Omens is definitely a band to watch!
