Brian “Head” Welch from Korn makes a special appearance in the music video for “Defiler,” a new single by Christian hard rock artist Zahna, released on Saturday. The video features both musicians performing together, with Welch taking the microphone for his guest spot.
In August 2024, Welch signed Zahna to his XOVR Records label, giving her a chance to shine in the metal scene. This single is a significant step for Zahna since joining the label. Welch is busy with various projects, as he started XOVR Records to help new talent reach metal fans.
Korn, formed in 1993 in Bakersfield, California, includes members James “Munky” Shaffer, Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, and Brian “Head” Welch. The band is credited with creating and popularizing nu-metal. Today’s lineup features Shaffer on guitar, Welch on guitar, Jonathan Davis on vocals, and Ray Luzier on drums, who replaced David Silveria in 2007.
Korn released their first demo, Neidermayer’s Mind, in 1993, followed by their self-titled debut album in 1994. Their second album, Life Is Peachy, came out in 1996. Both Leader (1998) and Issues (1999) reached number one on the Billboard 200, marking major successes for the band.

After that, they will head to South America for shows in Bogotá on May 2, San Miguel on May 5, Santiago on May 8, Buenos Aires on May 10, Asunción on May 13, and São Paulo on May 16.
