’90s update: Toadies drop new track, Blues Traveler reveal tour schedule

The Toadies have released a new song titled “The Charmer,” which is also the name of their upcoming album. This track reflects frontman Vaden Lewis’ ongoing battle with low self-esteem. Lewis shared, “I was afraid that if I lose that part of me that has such self-loathing, I won’t be able to write music anymore. I decided to take that apart and make it a character, The Charmer.” The album, “The Charmer,” is set to drop on May 1 and was recorded with the late engineer Steve Albini, who passed away in 2024.

In other news from the ’90s music scene, Blues Traveler has announced a series of tour dates starting May 1 in Thibodaux, Louisiana. They will also perform on July 4 at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. Tickets for these shows go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time. Additionally, Blues Traveler will hit the road with Gin Blossoms and Spin Doctors starting in July, so fans can look forward to an exciting summer of live music!
