Toadies Kick Off North American Tour Next Month to Promote New Album Produced by Late Music Producer

The Toadies are set to release their new album, *The Charmer*, on May 1 through Spaceflight Records. The band will kick off their tour on April 16 in Buda, Texas. This album was produced by Steve Albini at Electrical Audio in Chicago, shortly before his passing.

Along with the album announcement, the band released a music video for the lead single. Vaden Lewis, the lead singer, wrote the song during the pandemic. Guitarist Clark Vogeler directed and edited the video, using footage from the recording sessions. The visuals capture the band performing live in the studio. Notably, Lewis recorded the album using analog tape and razor blades, avoiding any computers to maintain a raw, live sound. This project represents one of the last unreleased sessions from Albini’s impressive career.

Spaceflight Records, an Austin-based non-profit label founded by Brett Orrison and Eric Bice, allows the band to keep full creative control over their music. The spring tour will feature rotating support from Local H, Vandoliers, and Sparta. The Black Angels will join them for a special show in Dallas at Longhorn Backyard on May 2, which fans won’t want to miss.

The tour includes 36 shows across the U.S., wrapping up at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville on September 20. The band will start with three shows in Texas before heading to Biloxi, Mississippi, on April 18 for the Crawfish Boil at Mississippi Coast Coliseum. Other stops include New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Tickets for all dates are now on sale. Check out the full schedule to catch the Toadies live!
