Sharon Osbourne has revealed exciting news about the return of Ozzfest. On a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, she announced that the festival is set to come back in 2027 in Aston, near Ozzy Osbourne’s hometown of Birmingham, England. After that, the plan is to bring it to the U.S.
“We want to do two days in Aston Villa and then come to America,” Sharon said. She also mentioned that they are eager to hear from fans about where they should hold the festival in the U.S. Sharon hopes that by 2028, Ozzfest will be a full touring festival again.
Ozzfest, which Sharon founded in the ’90s, became a key event in the hard rock and metal scene, helping launch the careers of bands like Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Deftones. The last Ozzfest took place on New Year’s Eve 2018 in Los Angeles, marking Ozzy’s final full-length live performance before his 2025 concert with Black Sabbath. Sadly, Ozzy passed away just weeks later on July 22.
In other news, Sharon hinted at the 2026 MIDEM conference in France that a statue of Ozzy will be unveiled at the Hellfest festival. This follows the earlier unveiling of a statue of Lemmy Kilmister, the late frontman of Motörhead and Ozzy’s longtime friend.
