Black Label Society Set to Release ‘Engines Of Demolition’ on March 27, Includes Tribute Track to Ozzy Osbourne

Black Label Society is set to release their new album, *Engines Of Demolition*, on March 27 through MNRK Heavy. One of the standout tracks is “Ozzy’s Song,” a heartfelt tribute that Zakk Wylde wrote after the passing of his friend and mentor, Ozzy Osbourne. Wylde created the song shortly after returning from Osbourne’s funeral. He shared, “When we got off the road, after we laid Ozzy to rest, I got home and sat in our little library room. I was looking at a book about Ozzy while listening to music at around 1:00 in the morning. That’s when I started writing the lyrics.”

This album marks Black Label Society’s first studio release since *Doom Crew Inc.* in 2021. Before the full album drops, they have already released four singles. Zakk Wylde began writing new material in 2022 while on the Pantera Celebration World Tour and continued working on songs through 2025. He described “Ozzy’s Song” as his most personal ballad yet, saying, “If the song resonates with someone who has lost a loved one, that’s what matters most.”

The band kicked off their 2026 North American tour on March 6 at Mission Ballroom in Denver. During the tour, they performed “No More Tears” by Ozzy Osbourne for the first time since 2001. Zakk Wylde formed Black Label Society in 1998 while touring and recording with Osbourne, whom he joined in 1987 after sending a demo tape. The tour will run through mid-May in North America, followed by performances in the UK and Europe from May 28 to August 14. Stay tuned for more updates!
