Weezer is back with a new music teaser! The band shared a video on Instagram featuring four symbols drawn on paper. The clip kicks off with the iconic guitar riff from “Buddy Holly” and then shifts to what sounds like a new song. Rivers Cuomo sings, “Shine again.”
Back in February, Weezer hinted that they would “shine again soon.” The video ends with the date March 26 displayed on the screen. In the caption, they invite fans to “JOIN US!” and include a link to their website.
Weezer last released music in 2021, dropping two albums: OK Human and Van Weezer. They also put out four EPs in 2022 as part of their SZNZ project.
While we wait for new tunes, an older Weezer song is making a comeback. “Go Away,” from their 2015 album Everything Will Be Alright in the End, is gaining popularity on TikTok and has entered the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart.
