Alkaline Trio has a new drummer! Tosh Peterson will be joining the band, taking over for Atom Willard, who left in February. Peterson has played with big names like Lady Gaga, Fall Out Boy, and mgk. You might also know him from his Drumeo videos.
Frontman Matt Skiba shared his excitement on Instagram, saying, “Tosh is a beautiful human being we’re very excited to travel and play music with and a drummer we couldn’t be more thankful to be able to welcome into OUR family.”
Peterson steps in after Willard, who replaced longtime drummer Derek Grant in 2023. Grant had been with Alkaline Trio since 2001.
Fans can look forward to seeing Alkaline Trio live this summer with two shows in Europe. They will then hit the road for a U.S. tour with Rise Against starting in September. Stay tuned for more updates!
