Judas Priest is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their classic album, *Sad Wings of Destiny*, with a special reissue. The band has regained the master rights to the album in collaboration with Exciter Records and Reach Music.
In a statement, Judas Priest shared, “*Sad Wings of Destiny* was a defining moment for us as a band. It’s where we really began to shape the sound and identity that would carry through everything we’ve done since. To see it recognized 50 years on—and to have it presented in new editions—is incredibly meaningful.”
The reissue will include new editions of the album, but details like the release date are still to come. *Sad Wings of Destiny* was the band’s second album, released in the U.S. on March 26, 1976. It features iconic tracks like “Victim of Changes” and “The Ripper,” which have become live favorites over the years.
Judas Priest’s most recent album is *Invincible Shield*, released in 2024. Fans can look forward to celebrating this milestone with the upcoming reissue of *Sad Wings of Destiny*. Stay tuned for more updates!
