Get ready, Philadelphia! The hit musical comedy Shucked is coming to town. Ensemble Arts Philly and The Shubert Organization are bringing the Philadelphia premiere of this Tony Award®-winning show to the Forrest Theatre from April 21 to May 3, 2026.
Shucked is a “farm-to-fable” musical about a close-knit community obsessed with corn. But it’s more than just laughs. The show tells a heartfelt story of love, sacrifice, hope, and personal growth, all wrapped in sharp humor and high energy.
The creative team behind Shucked is impressive. It features a fantastic book by Tony Award winner Robert Horn and catchy songs by Grammy winners Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally, known for their work with stars like Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert. The show is directed by four-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, who brings warmth and joy to the production.
The cast includes Miki Abraham as Lulu, Nick Bailey as Beau, Doylestown native Mike Nappi as Peanut, Quinn VanAntwerp as Gordy, and Danielle Wade as Maizy, along with a talented ensemble.
Fans can also check out the Grammy-nominated Shucked Original Broadway Cast Recording, available on all streaming platforms and CD.
Tickets are on sale now at ensembleartsphilly.org, Telecharge.com, and the Forrest Theatre box office. Don’t miss the American Sign Language-interpreted performance on Thursday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Shucked promises to be one of the most entertaining theater events in Philadelphia this spring!
