Nickelback is joining in on the April Fools’ Day fun with a playful announcement about a fake album. The Canadian rock band revealed on social media that they will release a record titled San Quentin, which features 15 different versions of their single “San Quentin.” Some of the amusing track names include “San Quentin (Live from Someone’s iPhone),” “San Quentin (And It’s the Same But There Are Three More Guitar Solos So It’s Not),” and “San Quentin (Taylor’s Version) (10 Minute Version).”
Additionally, the track list includes a song called “The Betrayal (Act II),” referencing their previous songs “The Betrayal (Act I)” and “The Betrayal (Act III).”
The actual “San Quentin” is part of Nickelback’s latest album, Get Rollin’, released in 2022. For fans eager for new music, the band recently dropped a single titled “Bones for the Crows” in March.
In other news, Nickelback is also featured in a new commercial alongside rapper Megan Thee Stallion for Cheetos. While it may sound like an April Fools’ joke, it’s the real deal. Keep an eye out for more updates from the band!
