Courtney Love wants Dave Grohl to publicly acknowledge that they are on good terms. The Hole frontwoman spoke about their past issues but insists that they have moved past them. On a recent episode of Billy Corgan’s podcast, Love urged Grohl to be open about their relationship. “Grohl, come out with it and just say we’re cool,” she said. “Be man enough to man up.”
Love expressed her frustration, suggesting that Grohl is hesitant to speak out because he fears losing his audience or affecting his relationship with Paul McCartney. “It would really help if the straight white males in your fanbase would stop picking on me,” she added.
Love was previously married to Kurt Cobain, Grohl’s bandmate in Nirvana. After Cobain’s death in 1994, she had a legal dispute with Grohl and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic over unreleased Nirvana music. Despite their rocky history, Love is hopeful for a more positive public acknowledgment from Grohl.
