Maggie Rogers celebrated the 10th anniversary of her hit song “Alaska” with a special performance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The show aired on Wednesday, and fans were excited to see her perform the song that launched her career back in 2016.
Rogers first caught the attention of music producer Pharrell Williams when she played “Alaska” for him during a visit to her class at New York University. His amazed reaction, saying, “I have zero notes for that,” helped the song go viral and reach a wider audience.
During her appearance on Colbert, Rogers also treated viewers to a cover of the classic song “One for My Baby (And One More for the Road).” Fans can catch her performance on YouTube.
In addition to her performance, Rogers announced that she is starting a foundation and scholarship at NYU to honor the anniversary of “Alaska.” This initiative aims to support aspiring musicians and give back to the community that helped her grow.
