Jack White and Jack Black teamed up for a memorable episode of Saturday Night Live. Jack White was the musical guest, marking his sixth appearance on the show and officially joining the Five-Timers Club as a solo artist. He previously performed with The White Stripes in 2002. Meanwhile, Jack Black hosted the episode, also earning his spot in the Five-Timers Club.
During Black’s opening monologue, he entered the Five-Timers Club lounge, which was in disarray. He announced his plan to fix it by “singing the most rocking song” and kicked things off with The White Stripes’ hit “Seven Nation Army,” with White joining him on guitar. “We’ll be White Black!” Black joked as the monologue wrapped up.
Later in the show, White debuted two new singles, “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico.” These tracks, released on Friday, are his first new music since his 2024 album, No Name.
White also appeared in a sketch titled “Words to Live By.” In this skit, Black and cast members Andrew Dismukes and James Austin Johnson sang a country song about forgetting something important. White made a surprise appearance at the end to play a guitar solo, but, true to the song’s theme, he couldn’t remember how it went.
If you want more Jack White, catch him performing on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this Monday.
