Gavin Rossdale is bringing his humor to Bush’s upcoming U.S. tour. The frontman showcases his funny side in the song “I Beat Loneliness,” from the band’s 2025 album. In this track, he sings, “I beat the internet,” which he jokingly claims is a bigger achievement than beating loneliness. Rossdale describes himself as “surprisingly funny” and admits that his dry English humor can be hard to convey in music.
“It’s really difficult to get humor across in songs,” he explains. “When I make bold statements like ‘I beat the internet/I’m a silhouette,’ it makes me happy as a writer to finally do something whimsical.”
In “I Beat Loneliness,” he also mentions, “Got married in Vegas,” which he clarifies is a fictional detail. “That’s the one line that’s not autobiographical,” he says. “The rest is me whining about myself.”
Bush kicks off their U.S. tour in support of the album on Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Fans can expect a mix of humor and introspection from Rossdale and the band. Don’t miss the chance to see them live!
