Foo Fighters have just dropped a new song titled “Of All People,” which is part of their upcoming album, Your Favorite Toy. In the track, frontman Dave Grohl sings, “Of all people, you survived/ When no one else could stay alive.” The song reflects on survival and resilience, with lines like, “You know you should be dead/ But you’re alive instead.”
The band first performed “Of All People” live during a taping of the Irish series Other Voices, and you can catch that performance on YouTube now. Your Favorite Toy is set to release on April 24 and will feature other previously released tracks like “Asking for a Friend,” “Caught in the Echo,” and the title track.
Fans can look forward to a special one-off show in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on April 28. After that, the Foo Fighters will headline the Welcome to Rockville and BottleRock Napa festivals in May. They are also gearing up for a full North American stadium tour starting in August.
