G Jones Sells Out the TLA

As a part of his The Ineffable Truth Tour, named after his debut album, The Ineffable Truth, G Jones played his unique electronic sound for a sold out crowd at the Theatre of the Living Arts. To start the night off was a performance by local Philly producer Alex Kennedy, also known as Brainrack. Brainrack started the crowd off on the right foot with a set full of heavy hitting bass drops in preparation for the night’s headliner. Following Brainrack was a set by Chee. Chee added to the energy of the crowd with tracks off of his EP Read Once Then Destroy that had been released two days prior to his performance. The last act before the sold out headliner was Tsuruda. The Los Angeles based producer has performed sets alongside huge names in the scene such as Bassnectar, and you can easily notice the influence such big names have had on him. Right before G Jones came out, Tsuruda and Chee played a short back to back set to really get the crowd ready. G Jones’s performance was absolutely incredible. His entire persona is in black and white, including his album covers and social media pages. During his performance, he stuck with this aesthetic by using strictly black and white visuals and even black and white lasers. It is arguably one of the best levels of production that I have ever seen. Even Billboard magazine compared his production to “entering the twilight zone”, and Bassnectar called him the “most talented Ableton beatmaker I’ve ever seen.” G Jones and all of the openers put on one hell of a show for their sold out Philadelphia crowd.
