AJR has just released their first live album, titled *Live from the Hollywood Bowl*. This album captures their performance at the iconic Los Angeles venue during the finale of their Somewhere in the Sky tour in 2025.
Ryan Met shared that this concert was special because it showcased their musical growth. He noted that the Hollywood Bowl performance was the first time they felt ready to create a live album that truly reflects the experience of being there.
The album features popular tracks like “Way Less Sad,” “Bang!,” and “Sober Up.” It also includes a medley called “A Bunch of Songs We Haven’t Played in a Long Time” and a powerful closing performance of “Weak” with the USC Trojan Marching Band.
Jack Met emphasized the emotional power of live performances, saying that artists connect with their audience in a way that studio recordings can’t match. Ryan added that while AI can create music that sounds like theirs, it lacks the real experience of being at a live show. For him, the magic of music lies in the live experience, the crowd, and the surprises that come with it.
