Billy Corgan, the frontman of the Smashing Pumpkins, has announced an exciting new TV deal for his wrestling league, the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Starting May 1, the NWA’s main show, NWA Powerrr, will be available on Comet TV.
Corgan expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Wrestling was meant to bring fans closer to the action. The NWA has always been about storytelling, personality, and passion. This partnership with Comet TV is the first step in bringing NWA to free television and reconnecting with audiences like I did when I was growing up.”
Corgan, a lifelong wrestling fan, bought the NWA in 2017. His journey with the league was featured in the 2024 reality show, Billy Corgan’s Adventures in Carnyland, which aired on The CW app.
In addition to his wrestling ventures, Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins will be performing at the upcoming Lollapalooza and Darker Waves festivals. Fans can look forward to an exciting season ahead!
