Bring Me the Horizon’s Second Base Tour

Digital Noise Mag attended Bring Me the Horizon‘s Second Base Tour at the MET in Philadelphia, Pa. on May 10, 2019. The British rock band popular in the metal/rock community who slowly started to change their music to the more mainstream sound creating a more pop feel. The previous U.S. tour First Love as a success, although it was cut short because lead singer Oli Sykes ruptured vocal chord. The injury led the band to cancel the last two shows, which were going to take place in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Bring Me The Horizon delivered a captivating performance filled with high energy with great connection with the fans. Oli’s recovery from his vocal cord injury is unbelievable, perfect pitch throughout the entirety of the set while keeping the crowd loud & on their feet. The  tour consisted of new material off of their amo record released in January 2019. But not ending the party there giving us some well known throw backs such as “Diamonds Aren’t Forever” off their album Suicide Season; as well off their 2015 record That’s the Spirit  bringing back the tunes “Throne”, “Happy Song”, “Follow You”, & “Drown”. The Second Tour had support from British rapper Scarlxrd, who is known for his unusual musical style combining elements of trap music and heavy metal. King, Scar performing some of his better known tracks such as “6 feet” & “Heart Attack” getting the crowd rowdy for BMTH to take the stage.
