Tom Morello has just released a new single titled “Adjourn It.” The track features vocals from Serj Tankian of System of a Down and guitar from Roman Morello, Tom’s son. The music video for “Adjourn It” includes clips from the 1954 film Salt of the Earth, which tells the true story of Mexican-American miners fighting against labor exploitation and racism. The film was made by Hollywood executives who were blacklisted for their political views and features real zinc miners, making it one of the first independent films.

This release comes just before Morello’s Power to the People Festival, happening on October 3 in Columbia, Maryland.
