Michael Stipe is set to make an appearance on late-night TV. The R.E.M. frontman will be the musical guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Tuesday night, alongside producer Andrew Watt. The duo recently collaborated on the song “I Played the Fool,” which is the theme for Steve Carell’s HBO series, The Rooster. The track features blink-182’s Travis Barker on drums and former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer on guitar and piano.
In April, Stipe was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he debuted a new song called “The Rest of Ever.” This track is from his upcoming solo album, which he has been teasing since 2022. Fans can expect the album to be released at the end of 2026.
