Korn bassist Ra Diaz has happily recovered his stolen instruments, thanks to the Henderson, Nevada police. A few weeks ago, Diaz’s entire bass collection was taken from a storage unit, a collection he had built over many years. Fortunately, a local spotted one of the stolen basses for sale and alerted the Property Crimes Unit. Officers were able to recover all of Diaz’s instruments.
One of the basses, decorated with the Chilean flag, was especially important to Diaz. He had planned to use it during a concert in Chile in May. In a video from Chile, Diaz expressed his gratitude, saying, “Getting this Chilean flag bass back was pretty emotional. It means a lot to me personally.” He dedicated the band’s show to his Chilean friends and family, as well as to the Henderson Police Department, thanking them for their support.
In April, Korn released their first new music in four years with the single “Reward the Scars,” created for the Diablo IV video game. After a series of shows in South America and Mexico, Korn will head to Europe and the U.K. for a tour starting in October.
