Role Model is getting ready to release a new album, and he has decided to retire his popular stage gimmick. During his hit song “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out,” he used to invite special guests to dance with him. This fun idea went viral, featuring stars like Natalie Portman, Charli XCX, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Hudson, and Hilary Duff.
However, Role Model recently shared that he won’t continue this tradition. He believes it’s important to know when to end a bit. He feels confident about his upcoming album, “Chuck Timely & The Hourglass,” which is set to drop on August 7. He stated, “If this album wasn’t good, I’d be like, ‘Yeah, we should probably keep the Sally bit going, I gotta sell tickets.’ But I feel very good about this record.”
Role Model made the decision to stop the gimmick back in February. He wants to avoid letting it become stale. “It was just a happy accident, and I’m really grateful for it,” he said. “But I’m not gonna be defined by being the dude who brings out Sallys at his shows.”
The new album will explore his journey following a public breakup with influencer Emma Chamberlain. Fans can look forward to fresh music and a new chapter for Role Model.
